1. Introduction
Distribution AI Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Distro platform and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. For company accounts, we also collect your company name.
Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor Stripe collects and processes your payment information. We do not store your full credit card number or payment credentials on our servers. We receive only limited information from Stripe, such as the last four digits of your card and billing address, to display in your account.
User Content: We collect and store the content you create, upload, or input into the Service, including documents, text, recordings, and other materials you provide while using Distro's features (Foundation, Studio, and Editor).
Communications: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as the contents of your message and any other information you choose to provide.
2.2 Information from Connected Services
Social Media Connections: You may optionally connect your LinkedIn and/or Twitter (X) accounts to enable content publishing features. When you connect these accounts, we receive access tokens that allow us to post content on your behalf. We access only the permissions necessary to publish content and do not collect or store your social media passwords. You can disconnect these accounts at any time through your account settings.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Service, we automatically collect certain information, including:
Device and Usage Information: We collect information about how you access and use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages viewed, features used, and the date and time of your visits.
Error and Performance Data: We collect error reports and performance data to identify and fix bugs, crashes, and other technical issues.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Providing the Service: To operate, maintain, and deliver the features and functionality of Distro, including processing your User Content through our AI-powered tools.
Account Management: To create and manage your account, process transactions, and send you related information such as purchase confirmations and invoices.
Communication: To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
Improvement and Development: To understand how users interact with the Service, identify trends, and improve and develop new features and functionality.
Error Resolution: To identify, diagnose, and fix errors, bugs, and technical issues affecting the Service.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
4. What We Do NOT Do With Your Information
No AI Training on Your Data: We do not use your User Content to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Your content is processed solely to provide the Service's functionality to you.
No Selling of Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
No Advertising or Tracking: We do not use advertising networks or retargeting pixels. We do not track you across other websites or apps.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with third-party service providers to help us operate and improve the Service. These providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect your information. Our service providers include:

Social Media Platforms: If you choose to connect your LinkedIn or Twitter (X) accounts, those platforms will receive content you choose to publish through the Service. Their respective privacy policies govern their use of your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and User Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible to you. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete it within 30 days of your request.
If you do not request deletion, we will automatically delete your User Content one (1) year after your account is closed or becomes inactive. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
